Retro Sticker Sheet Tutorial

Hello everyone! It’s Mónica from Moni’s Design here sharing the cutest Retro Sticker Sheet.
You’ll see the “Flower Peace Sign SVG File”  and the freebie “Retro Rainbows Free SVG File” in this pack along with the “Disco Ball Retro SVG File”.

Retro Sticker Sheet Tutorial

Using my Silhouette Cameo, I prepared a 4” x 6” rectangle with the designs. Every sticker measures 1.5”. I added an “Offset” for better results when cutting. You’ll add them to your canvas, and add a title. Press M on your keyboard to add registration marks to the page, then send it to print. Then load the printed page onto your mat and send it to cut.

Hippie Van Paper Piecing Tutorial

Hello everyone! It’s Mónica from Moni’s Design here and today I’m making a 3D Hippie Van. Here I’m using the “Front Hippie Van Retro SVG File”.  In this Hippie Van Paper Piecing Tutorial, I’ll show you how this fun piece came together.

Hippie Van Party Decor Tutorial

What You’ll Need:

  • Cardstock (I used light pink, cream, holographic silver, yellow, white, and glitter pink)
  • Acetate (I used Pearl Mylar)
  • Adhesive (I used Bearly Art)
  • Foam adhesive (To use between layers for the 3D effect)
  • Scissors (to cut the foam tape)

Using your Cricut or Silhouette, cut your SVG file. Now with all your pieces cut, let’s start. First, grab your base. We’re going to be gluing everything here.

Hippie Van Paper Piecing Tutorial

For every piece you want to be 3D, you’ll need to add Foam Tape. We’re going to start with the front first. I added foam tape and glued it to the base guiding my piece with the base form.

Next, we’ll be gluing the top piece (cream). Make sure you center the pieces.

Hippie Van Paper Piecing Tutorial

Now let’s glue the glitter smiley face to the white circle using our adhesive and then add a foam tape piece and glue it to the top of the van.

60s Van Paper Piecing Tutorial

Here I’m adding a square foam tape to my daisy center and then another foam tape to the back of the daisy to add them as my headlights.

Now let’s add the bumper. I used foam tape, again lol.

Don’t forget about the plate, so let’s glue the acetate to the cream plate and add a foam tape piece to the back, and put it in the bumper.

Now last but not least, let’s add the wheels.

Hippie Van Layered Paper Peicing Tutorial

Now we’re all done!

I really hope you enjoyed making this as much as I did. You can make this in under 30 minutes and add it to your party decorations or to your craft room!

See you in the next craft!

Easel Shaker Card

Easel Shaker Card

Hi, it’s Dorlene and I’m super excited to work on another project using Printable Cuttable Creatables SVGs. I love this Birthday Hat Cupcake SVG and knew I could make a lot of birthday projects with it.

For this post, I decided to make a fun fold card – an easel shaker card to be exact. I thought this easel design would really showcase this cute cupcake, especially with some shaker bling.

Easel Shaker Card

Cutting & Scoring dimensions are:

Card Base: 4.25 x 11″ scored at 5.5″ and 8.25″

Card Front: 4.25 x 5.5″

Patterned Paper: 4×5.25″

Two Window Sheets (I used a transparency):  4×5.25″

Since I decided this was also going to be a shaker card, I needed a frame to put the shaker bits in. In Design Space, I created the frame by stacking two different-sized rectangles on top of each other – one at 4” x 5.25” and the second at 3.25” x 4.5” – I center-aligned them & then sliced them to make a frame.

Once I was done with the frame, I added the cupcake image to the canvas. I removed the base on the bottom of the image and adjusted the cupcake size to fit inside the frame. You can see that I moved it over to the right of the frame and made sure that it covered a portion of all four sides.

Easel Shaker Card

The cupcake ends up being a little smaller than 3×5″. Add an offset to the cupcake image; move the cupcake image to the side & then select only the frame & offset and weld them together. This will give the cupcake a stronger base to sit on, plus gives it a more polished look with a border.

Once all the pieces are cut, I always place them together before adding adhesive.  Believe me, this is good advice!

Continue to make the card front into a shaker card and once that is complete, add it to the card front.

Easel Shaker Card

When making an easel card, you need to add foam adhesive to the tab on the bottom so it will stop the card front from sliding. I decided to add the birthday greeting on the tab instead of on the card front.

I am so happy with the final result.  This is super cute and perfect for all birthdays.

How to Make a Shaped Card

How to Make a Shaped Card Cricut Tutorial

Hello, friends! It’s Nancy here with you today!

I’m going to share how I use Printable Cuttable Creatables’ files,
along with Cricut Design Space, how to make a shaped card!

I’ve got lots of photos for you, as I took some screen shots along the way.
I have used:

Honey Bee SVG Collection

Here’s my card:

How to Make a Shaped Card Cricut Tutorial

I think shaped cards are so much fun to make.

I began by choosing my shape…in this case, it was the fun hive.

I imported it into Cricut Design Space, as both a print-then-cut file, and a cut file.

Bee Hive Shaped Card Tutorial

Here I have changed the color of the cut file to the cardstock color I will use.

Since my hive is sized to 5.5″ tall, I sized the shape to 5.75″ tall.

Tutorial on Cardmaking with Cricut

I then move the hive out of the way and duplicate the shape.

One is the front of the card, and the other is the back of the card.

Just in case the shape is not totally symmetrical, I give it a flip.

This ensures that the edges of the card will match perfectly when folded.

Beehive Shaped Cardmaking Tutorial

Individually, each of these files would make a great project.

However, they really work beautifully when all combined on the same page!

Beehive Shaped Cardmaking Tutorial

I then position the shapes so they are just touching at the top,

where I want them to be hinged.

Screen Shot 2023 06 05 at 6.05.03 PM

I then highlight both shapes and click on “Combine”.

You’ll find this in the bottom right corner.

I list of options pop up, and I choose “Weld”.

Beehive Shaped Card Tutorial

…and just like that the pieces are connected.

Simply score the hinge, and you have a really fun-shaped card!

Beehive Shaped Card Tutorial

All the other elements I used were done with the “print then cut” option.

Once they were cut, I inked the edges and adhered them to the card base.

How to Make a Shaped Card Cricut Tutorial

To finish things off, I added some glitter glue to the bee wings,

and a little drop to the antennae.

I then added another printed and cut element to the inside of the card!

It’s so easy to make fun-shaped cards using these simple steps.

Take a look through the shop and see what inspires you to make one!

Have fun!

DIY Birthday Gift Bag and Tag

DIY Birthday Gift Bag and Tag

Ciao friends! This is Morena from Morena’s Corner! I used the adorable Happy Birthday SVG Files and Clipart Bundle with metallic and transparent vinyls to create this DIY Birthday Gift Bag and Tag!

I also used some of the clip art elements with the print & cut feature on my cutting machine to make tags. Here’s how you can make your own.

DIY Birthday Gift Bag and Tag

DIY Birthday Gift Bag and Tag Supplies:

02 diy custom birthday gift bag gift tag

Open the balloon file in your design software. Since I was using transparent vinyl I didn’t want the balloons to overlap, so I separated them using my design software. Then I only kept the top layers and cut them from the transparent vinyl. I cut the outline from metallic silver vinyl.

03 silhouette studio diy custom gift bag

Next I created tags by adding the clip art that I wanted to use. I added text to the tags. For the bag embellishment I simply used the print and cut feature with the clip art provided in the bundle.

Silhouette Studio custom gift tags

Use transfer tape to add the balloon vinyl design to the gift bag, and burnish well.

Add vinyl to gift bag

Use foam tape to “pop” the happy birthday message off the bag.

Add some fun ribbon to the gift tag and attach it to the bag.

DIY custom gift tag

Now you have a beautiful custom DIY birthday gift bag and tag for gifting!

Life is the Bubbles Art Journal Page

Ocean Art Journal Page
Life is the Bubbles Art Journal Page

   Hello, my friends!

It’s Nancy here with you today!

I’m sharing a tutorial on how I put this art journal page together,
using some great cut files from the shop!
Here’s my page:

Ocean themed art journal page using Life is the Bubbles SVG Cut File with Cricut

Here’s how I made it:
IMG 4574

I began by sprinkling some watercolor powders onto my art journal page.
I spritzed it with water, until I had the look I wanted.
I then set it aside to dry.

IMG 4575

I then went to Cricut Design Space and uploaded:
Beach Sea Shells Monogram Frame SVG File;
Life is the Bubbles SVG Cut File Title

On my canvas in CDS, I inserted the Title into the Frame, and sized it to fit on my journal page.

I then used the Print then Cut feature to cut out my design.

IMG 4576

Now I come back to my colored journal page. It’s important that the journal page be completely dry before adding the cut file. Otherwise things won’t stick properly.
Isn’t that sparkle pretty? :o)

IMG 4577

Now…here’s a trick to make the positioning of the cut file very simple: I remove my paper from the mat, leaving the cut design in place on the mat.

IMG 4578

I position the paper in place on my journal page, exactly where I want to add the design.

IMG 4579

Then it’s as simple as putting a puzzle together.
I take a piece of the design off of my mat,
and adhere it in place on my journal page.
Just use your favorite adhesive for this.

IMG 4580

Here’s my page with the design perfectly positioned!

IMG 4582

I added a nice coat of glossy accents to each of the bubbles.
It adds some lovely shine to go with all the background sparkle.

IMG 4589

Finally, I added some sequins in a variety of colors!

IMG 4581

I had so much fun creating this page!
Don’t forget to consider other ways to use the fun files from
Printable Cuttable Creatables!
They offer endless possibilities!

Fast & Easy Valentine Crayon Holder SVG Files

DIY Crayon Holder Valentine SVG

Valentine Crayon Holder SVG File

DIY Valentine Crayon Holders for the Whole Class!

Looking for a fun and unique Valentine for your child to hand out to their classmates? These Valentine Crayon Holder SVG files cut super fast and are so easy to put together! And the best part is, after kids have finished coloring in the fun Valentine’s designs, the card becomes a bookmark they can use to hold their place in a favorite book! I made these last year with my daughter for her Kindergarten class and they were a hit!

You can download the Valentine Crayon Holder SVG Files right here in my shop, but first, read on to see how easy they are to make!

The SVGs open up with cut lines already turned on in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition. Just position 2 on a page, turn on registration marks, and hit Send! With just a few simple steps (instructions included with download), Silhouette Basic Edition, and Cricut Design Space users will also be ready to go!

Important: In Silhouette Studio, once your Print & Cut layout is ready to print, DO NOT move or change any elements in the file! I always make sure to save the file right before I print it, and don’t make any changes to the layout once it has been printed.

A single sheet of letter size cardstock fits 2 crayon holder cards. When printed, only the coloring page image and text will be visible. The cut lines for the card will not print, but don’t worry, your cutting machine will know where to cut! 🙂

Have your little one fill in their friend’s names and then fold along score lines, to fold card in half and raise the crayon holder holes.

Now insert crayons into the crayon slots. The crayons slide in pretty easily (pointed tip first) and hold in place well. This was easy enough that even my 5 year old was able to help!

Insert crayons into crayon holder valentine coloring card

I found this 24 pack of Crayola 4-ct. Crayon Boxes on Amazon, which I love because each child gets 4 different colors to use, and it comes with enough to make coloring page Valentines for the whole class!

Mini Crayon 4 ct. Boxes for coloring page valentine cards

Once assembled, just tuck into some A1 size envelopes (approx. 3.5″ x 5″) and your little one is ready to hand out Valentines to their classmates!

The kids then get to have some fun coloring in the coloring page design! When they’re finished, they can tear along the center perforation, and it becomes a bookmark!

You could even wrap the card in ribbon or baker’s twine (optional) before placing in the envelope, so the child can tie it to their bookmark when they’re all done coloring!

DIY Printable DIY Toy Bandage Stickers: Print & Cut SVG Files

Blog Cover Horizontal

Blog Cover Horizontal

Printable Toy Bandage Stickers for Pretend Play!

When I caught my 5 and 2-year-old daughters trying to put real Band-Aids all over their baby dolls, as cute as it was, you know I couldn’t let that fly! While those licensed character Band-Aids don’t break the bank for the occasional real “boo-boo”, 3 or 4+ Band-Aids per doll, per child adds up pretty fast!

Then, a familiar little voice went off in my head. You know, the one that says “I can make that!”. So as I tucked the real box of Band-Aids safely away from their reach, I told my girls, “Mama’s going to make you some toy bandage stickers that you can use for your dollies’ “ouchies”. They were both very excited about this idea, and wanted to watch & help make them!

You can download the DIY Printable Bandage Stickers SVG / PDF / PNG Files right from my shop, but first, read on to see how I made them!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
So I set to work in Adobe Illustrator (my design software of choice) and came up with these fun and colorful play bandage stickers, and a little 3D bandage box to boot! It was fun, but took longer than it should have – it’s not so easy trying to design with a 2 year old literally climbing on your back like a monkey up a tree! I brought the SVG into Silhouette Studio and squeezed as many bandage stickers as I could on a sheet for Print & Cut, and sent them to print! Check out my 5 year old’s excitement as they printed – everything is so fun at this age!

Print and Cut Stickers Silhouette Cameo

For the toy bandage stickers, I used Avery Printable Shipping Labels as a more budget-friendly for this particular disposable project. Their better quality Printable Sticker Paper is also a great choice. To set up a Print & Cut file in Silhouette Studio, open up the SVG bandage file and turn on the registration marks (pressing the ‘M’ key on your keyboard is the fastest way to bring them up). Choose the bandage colors you want to use, and make enough copies to fill up the page.

Make sure you leave some space between each bandage shape to prevent tearing during the cutting phase, and keep the shapes inside the white registration mark area shown on your workspace. When you’ve got the page filled up to your liking, go ahead and send it to your printer!

Print & Cut Bandage Stickers Registration Marks

Important: After your Print & Cut layout is ready to print, DO NOT move or change any elements in the file! I always make sure to save the file right before I print it, and don’t make any changes to the layout once it has been printed.

To cut the toy bandage stickers as individual strips, I started with the “Sticker Paper White” cut settings and adjusted them to cut all the way through the sticker backing (instead of a kiss cut, like with most stickers). The settings I used were Blade: 3, Speed: 5, Thickness 18, Double Cut (2 passes). In Silhouette Studio, make sure to select all of the bandage shapes and set them to “Cut Edge”.

Print and Cut Bandage Stickers Silhouette Studio Cut Settings

Don’t forget to do a Test Cut first, to make sure your machine is cutting all the way through the sticker paper backing.

Silhouette Cameo Print & Cut Stickers How to

I printed the bandage box on regular white 65lb cardstock, because it’s what I had on hand, but you might want to use a heavier 110lb cover stock to make the box more durable for playtime. When the box design is printed, you won’t see the box outlines or score lines, you’ll only see the graphic. But don’t worry, as long as you don’t change anything in your cut file after printing, it will cut and score just fine!

3D Box Print & Cut Silhouette Cameo

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
For the 65lb cardstock, I used the following settings: Blade: 4, Speed: 8, Thickness: 30, Double Cut (2 passes). You may need to adjust your settings depending on your machine and the materials you choose. If you’re using a bandage box graphic like the one I included, make sure it is set to “No Cut”, while the box template outline and score lines are set to “Cut”.

Here it is, all cut and scored!

Fold along the score lines, add a few swipes of the adhesive tape runner or glue stick, and you’re good to go!

Folded 3D

These turned out pretty cute and I had fun making this quick project with my girls, though not nearly as much fun as they had playing doctor with their dolls!

If you know some little ones with accident-prone dolls and stuffed animals, you can download these DIY Printable Toy Bandage Stickers SVG Cut Files and make them a set in just a few minutes! (printable PDF and PNG files also included!)

Fun idea: Change up the colors on the bandages, add some fill patterns, gradients, or even some of their favorite characters! If you want to add characters, make sure to search “png” to find character images with transparent backgrounds! For example, I searched “Trolls png” and “Daniel Tiger png” to make these character versions for my girls.
