Hi friends! I am sharing a pretty autumn greeting card that uses watercolor to bring in the colors. You do not need to be a great artist to have great results. I like to do this to bring a unique look to cut pieces to add interest and dimension to plain cardstock.

Supplies Used:
- Pretty Autumn Flowers SVG Cut File
- A2 Card base
- 4.0 x 5.25” card panel
- White cardstock
- Water colors
- Paint brushes
- Work mat or surface that can get wet
- Sentiment stamp or die cut of your choice
- Glue
- Embellishments such as gems or sequins
- Cutting machine, such as a Cricut machine or Silhouette Cameo
Bring the SVG file into your cutting machine software. I bring in both the assembled and not so that I have a version where the pieces are separated but one that I can see it all together at the same time.

Resize design to fit in a 4.00×5.25” rectangle in landscape orientation.
Cut out all the pieces using white cardstock.
While the machine is cutting, coat the card panel with a wash of water and then add the water color of your choice. I did light blue. Set this aside to dry.

Lay out all the cut pieces on your work surface grouping the pieces as they go together. Use the SVG file as a guide.
Paint each piece in the desired colors of your choice. Try not to have a perfectly even color. The beauty of watercolors is that you can move the pigment around. Don’t be afraid to mix colors and add layers. Since we are not using watercolor paper, the cardstock will become weak while wet. Be prepared to leave the pieces where they are to dry. If any tear, they can be glued while assembling the card. Let the pieces completely dry.

Once all pieces are dry, adhere the layers together.

Assemble and adhere to painted card panel. Use the Assembled SVG file as a visual guide or choose the layout.

Add a sentiment and any embellishments such as paint splatter, sequins, or gems.

I would really love to see what you do with this design! This can be used for sympathy, birthday, thank you, or just because!
