When my second elf mentioned needing a bag to carry letters from Santa and other treasures, I couldn’t resist the challenge! Using SVGs from Printable Cuttable Creatables, I created a whimsical and functional elf-sized bag.
Here’s how it came together:

Bow: Pretty Little Darling Coquette SVG File
Heart Stamp: Valentine’s Day Love Letters FREE SVG Cut File
Naughty/Nice Checklist: Naughty Nice I Tried Free SVG File

If you want to add a personal touch to your glassware, your cutting machine can be your best friend! From festive candle holders to unique etched bottles, the possibilities are endless. Today, I’m sharing three fun and creative ways to decorate glass using my cutting machine (Cricut), featuring some fabulous SVG files from our shop and tips to inspire your next project.SVG files used: Too Cute to Spook SVG File, Cute Ghost Pumpkin Grid SVG Free and Spooky Potion Bottles SVG Files
1. Layered Vinyl Sticker for a Candle
Project Idea: Decorate a candle using a layered vinyl sticker (I used the Too Cute to Spook SVG file, minus the sentiment).
Choose Your Vinyl: For this project, I used regular adhesive vinyl for its ease of application, but imagine the fun with temperature color-changing vinyl! When the candle is lit, the color shift will create a mesmerizing effect, perfect for Halloween or cozy nights.
Design Your Sticker: Upload the SVG to your Cricut Design Space and size it to fit your candle. You can layer multiple colors to create depth and dimension.
Cut and Apply: Cut your vinyl, weed out the excess, and use transfer tape to apply it to your candle. Smooth it out, and voila! You have a festive centerpiece.
Inspiration:
Consider using holographic or metallic vinyl for an eye-catching design that shimmers when the candle is lit. Try layering different textures and finishes to elevate your project for added flair!
2. Repeating a Pattern for a Pretty Bottle
Project Idea: Create a beautiful, patterned bottle using the Cute Ghost Pumpkin Grid SVG (available for free!).
Step 2
Select Your Glass: This project works wonderfully with a clear glass bottle or jar. It can be a simple vase or a storage container.
Create the Pattern: Upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space and adjust your bottle size. You can duplicate the pattern to create a seamless design that wraps around the entire piece.
Cut and Apply: Use your Cricut to cut the design from adhesive vinyl. Once cut, weed out the excess and carefully apply it to your bottle, ensuring it adheres well to any curves.
Inspiration:
Play with different colors for the pumpkins and ghosts to match your home decor or the season. You could even use frosted vinyl for a soft, elegant look that adds a touch of sophistication to your design!
3. Etching Glass for a Stunning Effect
Project Idea: Create an etched design on glass using the skull from the Spooky Potion Bottles SVG files
Steps:
Prepare Your Glass: Start with a clean glass surface. This could be a jar, a bottle, or a picture frame. Be sure it’s not heat-resistant glass (the etching paste doesn’t work on that material)!
Design the Etching: It’s important to use a design with only one layer for this project. I removed the other shapes and sized them for the glass piece.
Cut and Transfer: Cut your design using stencil vinyl. Apply the stencil to your glass, ensuring it adheres well to prevent etching cream from seeping underneath.
Etch the Glass: Apply etching cream following the product instructions. Rinse off the cream and remove the stencil to reveal your stunning design.
Inspiration:
Consider creating a collection of etched glassware featuring different designs for a truly spooky vibe. Use a variety of shapes and sizes to create a cohesive set for your Halloween party!
With these three techniques, ordinary glass can be transformed into extraordinary art pieces. Whether crafting for a seasonal celebration or just sprucing up your home decor, a cutting machine opens up a world of creativity. Don’t forget to experiment with various materials and finishes to find the perfect look for your projects!
Happy crafting, and may your glassware shine as brightly as your creativity! 🎃✨

Hello friends! This is Linh or LV Handcrafted across the socials. I’m excited to share with you this Glass Etching Tutorial project – a “His & Hers” Retro glass juice bottle. I used a technique called glass etching to transfer these designs to the bottle. It’s a wonderful way to create a permanent design on your glassware. You can wash and even put it through the dishwasher without worrying about the design fading or peeling off.
See how it’s done in this video tutorial:
Here are 8 quick & easy steps:
STEP 1 Bring the SVG Separated file into Cricut Design Space. Scale the image to the size you’d like on your glass
STEP 2 Create a box that’s 1 inch wider and 1 inch taller than your design. Place the design over your box and center it. Attach the design and the box you just created so they cut together.
STEP 3 Make It!
STEP 4 Weed out the positive design. The vinyl that is left should be all of the area surrounding your design.
STEP 5 Apply transfer vinyl to the design. Burnish well. Peel off the paper release liner from your vinyl.
STEP 6 Position your design onto your glass project. Start from the center and burnish outwards. Peel off the transfer vinyl.
STEP 7 With a paintbrush, apply the Glass Etching Cream to the design. Be careful not to get etching cream outside of the stencil. Keep brushing and moving the cream around the design for 3 minutes.
STEP 8 Rinse the project with cold water thoroughly. Dry. Peel off the sticker vinyl
TIPS:
Use gloves and protect your work surface when using Etching Cream.
Make sure you have enough space surrounding your design when you make your stencil. This way your glass is protected and you don’t get etching cream where you don’t want it.
Before applying your vinyl stencil, clean your glass surface with alcohol to remove any dust, oils, debris, etc.
After you rinse off the etching cream, examine your project. Tilt it in different lighting and see if the frosted glass looks even. If it doesn’t look even, you can do the etching process again (Step #7) before you peel off the vinyl. Once it looks good, then peel off the vinyl.
Thanks for following along!

Hello, hello crafty friends! It’s Shalon here with Summer Tumbler Vinyl Decal for you! I don’t know about you, but I feel in summer I am always sipping on something! More often than not it’s water (a girl has GOT to stay hydrated!) but I have been known to enjoy an adult libation or two! Either way, I like to be able to walk around with my beverages, and therefore a tumbler is a must! I enjoy the look and feel of a skinny tumbler, and you KNOW I have to customize it! These Maars brand tumblers are double-walled and are great for vinyl. When I saw the Drink in My Hand Toes in the Sand SVG File, I knew it would be ideal for my Summer Tumbler Vinyl Decal!
First, I measured my tumbler. It is just over 7 inches tall so I knew I wanted my design to be less than 4.5 inches – 5 inches high max. The total circumference of my tumbler is about 8.75 inches with the front facing being about 4 inches. So I wanted my design to be slightly smaller. Clicking the lock in Silhouette Studio to maintain the aspect ratio I resized the height to be 4.75 inches tall which made my width about 3.6 inches.
Then, I ungrouped everything. The blue writing looked like it would be a little thin to withstand constant washes so I offset them another 0.010in to provide just a little thickness and therefore a little more adhesive.
After that, I regrouped everything and decided it would look awesome using holographic vinyl, sent it to cut, and weeded.
I placed the transfer tape on my weeded decal and burnished it well. Make sure your design completely transfers onto the tape first to make sure you are able to place it on your project more easily.
To prepare my tumbler for vinyl, I cleaned the surface with alcohol and then placed it in the middle of an open book! This is my little trick I use to apply vinyl on curved objects! It does a great job holding the object steady during application!
When centering the decal, I like to fold it in half backward, so that the sticky part is out and I can stick it down from the center.
After that, I slowly burnish with my finger from the center outwards until the entire decal is placed. Once everything is down, I go over it with my scraper applying pressure. Finally, I go over the decal with my heat gun (or a hair dryer would work too) keeping it moving the entire time to gently warm the adhesive to help it stick.
That’s it! Now you have a great summer tumbler to go with your drink of choice!
Cheers and Happy Crafting!

Hello there friends, it’s Ellen here with a DIY Suncatcher Window Cling Tutorial! Today I am sharing two different ways to make suncatchers. Both techniques are super easy to make, so let’s jump to it.
Before I start, I’d like to share all of the PCC products used. In this post, I’m using: “Kindness Rainbow Retro”, “Great Day Retro”, “Spread Sunshine Retro” and “Let the Good Times Roll” SVG File. The first technique is to print and cut onto “Window Cling”.
You can buy different Window Clings to print on. If you use a Cricut you can “flatten” the image to make the SVG a printable and cuttable file. (You can find the Flatten button on the bottom right of the Layers panel in Design Space.)
After it’s printed you can cut it with your machine.
This clear window cling creates pretty removable window cling designs.
But to be honest, I like the second technique the most; using suncatcher vinyl.
First, you cut the outline/offset of the design from suncatcher vinyl (this vinyl has a rainbow glass/holographic cover. It sticks on glass and is removable). After you cut the outline you start cutting all elements from the SVG with normal vinyl and simply attach all layers onto the outline/offset.
The sun will create rainbow magic across your walls! I love it!
What is your favorite technique?

Below you can see a step-by-step tutorial for starters or scroll down till the end to see more pictures.
When uploading an SVG file, some items of the files are united, and others are not. Sometimes you want to adjust it and you can! Let me explain how to do this with your Cricut machine. If you have another machine, try the official website, or consult our Facebook group. I’m sure others will help you.
Select all the shapes you want to unite and click on the ‘combine’ button on the bottom right in Cricut Design Space.
Sometimes you also want to make two parts of one image. First, you add a random shape (here a black square) bigger than the item you want separate. Select all the layers and the shape, and break it apart by clicking the ‘slice’ button.
Now that all your images are sliced, you can work with them however you want. If you don’t need the extra layers that the slice tool created, just delete or hide them.
You can position the layers the way you want on the cutting mat too.
When you are ready to cut your materials (in this case vinyl), it’s time to prepare the jar. I used a surface cleaner to make the jar clean and grease-free.
Make sure your project surface is clean and dry. Carefully place all the cutout shapes on the vinyl project as you want. Then press the transfer tape (with vinyl) firmly onto the surface, starting from the center and working out to the edges. Use a craft spatula or scraper. Proceed to peel off the transfer tape.
Next, I cut out a tag and some paper (I also used iridescent paper for the XOXO). In the last step, I stuck it on a shadow layer and attached the whole bundle to the tag with foam tape.
Of course, I filled the jar with dog treats; ideal for a dog lover.
What would you put in the jar? And how would you decorate it?
