DIY Vinyl Cake Topper

Hi there, it’s Ellen here again with a must-have birthday project.

If you’re looking for a fun and festive cake topper for a birthday celebration, this “Pop, Fizz, Clink!” design is perfect! I created this topper using the “Pop Fizz Clink Scrapbook Title” SVG Cut File & Clipart and vibrant vinyl colors to add a celebratory touch to any cake. 

In this blog post, I’ll show you how to create this topper and provide two easy ways to customize colors in Cricut Design Space for your event.

One of the great things about SVG files is that they allow for customization! If you want to change the colors of your design, here are two ways to do it in Cricut Design Space:

Method 1: Using the Layers Pane

1. Click on the Layers Panel on the right-hand side.
2. Find the element you want to recolor and click on it.
3. At the top, locate the color box and select your new desired color.
4. Repeat for each element you want to customize.
5. Once satisfied, click Make It to proceed with cutting.

Method 2: Using the Color Panel

1. Regroup your elements if necessary.
2. Select the SVG file and click Ungroup at the top of the Layers Panel.
3. Click on individual pieces of the design.
4. Select a new shade using the Color Panel next to the Layers Panel.
5. Proceed with cutting once you’ve finalized your color choices.

This “Pop, Fizz, Clink!” cake topper is a fun way to elevate any birthday cake. By using Cricut Design Space’s color-changing tools, you can customize it to fit any theme. Whether you go bold and bright or elegant and pastel, this topper will be the perfect finishing touch!
