When uploading an SVG file, some items of the files are united, and others are not. Sometimes you want to adjust it and you can! Let me explain how to do this with your Cricut machine. If you have another machine, try the official website, or consult our Facebook group. I’m sure others will help you.
Select all the shapes you want to unite and click on the ‘combine’ button on the bottom right in Cricut Design Space.
Sometimes you also want to make two parts of one image. First, you add a random shape (here a black square) bigger than the item you want separate. Select all the layers and the shape, and break it apart by clicking the ‘slice’ button.
Now that all your images are sliced, you can work with them however you want. If you don’t need the extra layers that the slice tool created, just delete or hide them.
You can position the layers the way you want on the cutting mat too.
When you are ready to cut your materials (in this case vinyl), it’s time to prepare the jar. I used a surface cleaner to make the jar clean and grease-free.
Make sure your project surface is clean and dry. Carefully place all the cutout shapes on the vinyl project as you want. Then press the transfer tape (with vinyl) firmly onto the surface, starting from the center and working out to the edges. Use a craft spatula or scraper. Proceed to peel off the transfer tape.
Next, I cut out a tag and some paper (I also used iridescent paper for the XOXO). In the last step, I stuck it on a shadow layer and attached the whole bundle to the tag with foam tape.
Of course, I filled the jar with dog treats; ideal for a dog lover.
What would you put in the jar? And how would you decorate it?

Ciao amici! This is Morena from Morena’s Corner, and today I want to share my rolled paper flower-making secrets! I love flowers: real, artificial, and paper. The fun thing about making them yourself is you can get the exact color and size that you need for your project! I chose my color palette for this Valentine’s day project first, then picked the flowers I wanted to use. In about an hour, I had this beautiful mini wreath to hang near my work desk. Here’s how you can make your own.
Choose your flowers from the set (there are so many to choose from!) and open them in your design software. I resized these so they were 5.5 inches wide. This gives you a finished flower that is about 2 inches large.
Lightly mist the cut flower, and wipe off any excess water. You don’t want to make the paper too wet, or it will tear. The water will soften the paper so you can curl the petals and create more realistic looking flowers. When it dries it will once again be stiff.
Use a toothpick to gently curl back the tips of the petals. Continue until all the petals are done. Mist the flower one more time and start winding it around the toothpick to create the flower.
Glue the base on to hold the flower together.
Wrap the bottom of the hoop with lace. This will make it easier to attach the flowers. Hot glue the flowers and leaves onto the hoop. When you are done gluing, brush gold paint and gold glitter paint onto the flowers.
Transfer gold vinyl to a scrap of cardstock, and cut out the sentiment. Glue it on top of the flowers.
Add some more lace to the top of the hoop, and your beautiful floral mini wreath is ready to hang!

The owl image is super cute, right? Now I’m going to share my process with you.
When I’m using an image like this, that I know I want to print then cut,
I head to Cricut Design Space.
I begin by choosing the base size I want to use, and then sizing all my layers accordingly.
Here’s a look:
I knew that I wanted to make a 5 1/2″ square card base.
So I begin by clicking on shapes, choosing a square, and sizing it to 5 1/2″. This allows me to then resize the owl image.
Then I decided that the owl would look nice in a circle. So using the “Shapes” option again, I add a circle. As shown in the photo above I sized the circle to 4″.
I didn’t want the owl to just be “floating” in the circle, so I added the sweet arrow border cut, resized it to fit my circle, and positioned it under the owl.
I also make sure that all my elements are set as Print then Cut.
This intricate arrow was the reason that I was going to use print and then cut.
My Cricut does a fabulous job with intricate cuts but this might be pushing it! ;o)
I really like the way everything is looking here and can see how my finished card will look.
I don’t need the green square, as I have other plans for my background.
At this point, I highlight the circle section, as shown in the photo.
If you look at the list on the right side you can see the ones that are highlighted.
Then I go to my “Flatten” option, which you can see in the lower right corner,
and I click on it.
If you want to include the background square in your project,
then you would highlight the entire square and click Flatten.
As shown above, the complete project has been flattened,
and is ready for print then cut.
Now we can go back to my finished card.
I knew that I wanted to use this pretty heart paper for my background.
I cut my 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper to a 5 1/2″ card base.
I printed the heart paper and cut a 5 1/4″ square.
I then matted my finished circle with a matching piece of cardstock.
I adhered it to my card front with foam tape.
I also finished the inside of the card using the sentiment cut.
It makes a really great Valentine’s card, right?
Flattening the layers helps to cut down on some of the bulk,
making it easier to mail to your Valentine.
Those are my tips for you today!
It’s always fun to learn new things and new ways to do our projects! :o)

It’s February and now that I’m back teaching in the classroom, I can’t help myself but make some festive t-shirts for the holidays/celebrations that 2023 has to bring!
For this year’s Valentine’s shirt, I decided to go with the You’re a Whole Llama Fun SVG File. However….instead of using the SVG file as is……I added my own little twist. I took the words out and duplicated a couple of the hearts to fill in the space where the words were and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome…..I love it and think my students will love it too!
Another idea I had bouncing in my head was to remove the words “You’re a whole fun” and keep the word Llama and add the word “mama” or even “mini”, but after consulting with my daughter, she didn’t want a matching Llama shirt with her mama. So, I’m on my own with the Llama shirt!
I used pink, red, beige, and black heat transfer vinyl from Kassa and added a pop of glitter HTV from Cricut. I just love the pop that the glitter HTV can give a design and a t-shirt!
Be sure to check your pieces of vinyl in your stash and play around in Design Space (or whichever program you use) and play around with different Llama colors! We had fun choosing our Llama colors!
Remember when layering glitter vinyl….always keep it as the last layer!
Keep the design as is…or add your own twist to it! That’s what is so wonderful about Printable Cuttable Creatables designs is that they are extremely versatile!
Happy Crafting!

Ciao amici, this is Morena with more crafty shenanigans for you to try! I’ve never taken Valentine’s Day seriously, and this project is one example of my silly sense of crafting humor. Even if you don’t share my sense of humor, I hope you can use this idea to personalize your digital papers to create your own unique gifts!
I love to think outside the box and find ways to stretch my craft supplies as much as possible. The box file is designed for beer can glasses, but you can easily adjust the size to make it for smaller or larger items.
Digital papers are awesome because they can be used in so many ways! You don’t need any fancy software or special skills to create your own custom papers for projects like this one. Use the text feature in your design software to add your own words to any digital paper.
Give it a try and start creating your own custom gifts and packaging! I’ve got the complete tutorial on my site if you’re looking for step-by-step instructions. In the meantime, here are the supplies you’ll need if you want to make a project like mine:
Have fun crafting and creating personalized digital papers!

Hello, friends! It’s Nancy back with a fun new project share.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. For those of us here in Saskatchewan, February 14th still holds lots of snow and chilly weather. When I found this file in the shop, I thought it would make a great Valentine.
My first attempt with a single-line file didn’t work very well. I opened a new package of markers for my Cricut and found they were all totally dry. At PCC the files include SVG and PNG files. I uploaded this one into Cricut Design Space and had a play.
This is what I came up with:
Doesn’t that make a fun Valentine’s card?
This hot cocoa design is also available in the shop as a regular cutting file,
but I wanted to play with the single-line file.
I ungrouped everything in Design Space and then played with colors and layers.
I like the combination of pink and black for a Valentine.
I then flattened it and saved it as a print/cut option.
I couldn’t really have pink cocoa,
so I colored the cocoa in after it was printed.
I added the printed piece to my black cardstock base using foam tape.
Finally, I added several pink pearls and some Nuvo Drops.
Sometimes it’s just fun to have a play in Design Space!
These files have so many options included
and offer such a variety of creative possibilities.

I looked at some funny Valentine’s quotes on google for the images I wanted to use. Then I uploaded all the illustrations to Cricut Design Space. I deleted all the shapes I didn’t need, for example, the squares around the Baby Blocks Capital Alphabet Set.
Next, I selected the words “Zest”, “Berry” and “Nuts” and used the ‘align tool’ to align the bottom and space the words evenly (my Cricut Design Space is in Dutch, but I hope the picture still helps you out since the icons are the same).
When I was happy with the end results I let the machine do the work and cut every piece I needed.
To bring the idea into reality, prepare the supplies a bit too. Here are my tips for heat transfer.
In this case, I used small bags. It is always a good idea to iron your fabrics before applying the HTV. This will keep your HTV from wrinkling, but it’s also handy to center all the artwork on the fabric.
It’s always helpful to use a clothes roller to get rid of all the little bits of dust and hair (definitely a must if you have furry fluffs running around the house).
As a final tip, don’t forget to use baking paper between your work and the heat press. Otherwise, it’s possible your HTV may stick onto your heat press. This is especially useful for illustrations with many layers like here.
The end results are simply stunning and super cute!!
I bought some heart-shaped cookies that fit in these bags. They will be given away on Valentine’s Day to some family members.
These little bags are perfect to make someone’s day!
All the files come with more images than you see here on the blog, be sure to check them out, to see which is your favorite.
If you love it as much as I do, then there is a big fruit set too; the “Cute Summer Fruit SVG Files Collection” in the PCC shop. You can see oranges, cherries, melons, bananas,… and a lot more in the set.
I still have a few quotes I love: You are very a-PEELING, I love you CHERRY much, you hold the KIWI to my heart,… I really can keep going here and cannot wait to see what you make!
What is your favorite bag? And which fruit and quote would you like to use? I’m super curious, please let me know below!

Kris here, and to start my first Design Team project for 2023, I will bring you a sort-of upcycled project.
What do I mean by “sort-of” upcycled? I’ll tell you! To start 2023, my husband and I decided to clean and get rid of some unused items in and around our house. My husband came across a box full of old picture frames with some old photos. So he started taking the photos out and decided on which frames would stay and which would go. He came across the 2012 Christmas picture frame and took the photo out. I was slightly upset because it was dated 2012 and there was a picture of our dogs with Santa. It wasn’t like I was going to put a fresh 2022 Christmas picture in a frame with the date 2012.
My husband suggested to me that I take the 2012 photo mat out of the frame and use my Cricut to make something else. I thought….what a brilliant idea! I have a Printable Cuttable Creatables project that would work!
I first measured out the size of the photo frame and used the Cricut Foil Tool to add the words “love blooms here”. Next, the machine cut out the rectangle. I then cut out the Valentine Hearts Wagon SVG and assembled it. Then I cut out 2 colors of the Rolled PaperFlower SVG Templates. The red flowers are slightly smaller than the light pink flowers.
I added a couple of rhinestones to the center of the wagon wheels and added a couple of butterfly stickers and there you have such cute Valentine’s Day desk decor!
Thank you so much for joining me today!
Kris
