DIY Sympathy Card Idea

DIY Sympathy Card2

Good morning Printable Cuttable Creatable Fans!  Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility.  I want to share with you a sympathy card I was asked to make.

It was for a woman that passed and a man that would be receiving it.  I wanted to make sure it was pretty and feminine enough to represent a woman but still a bit for a man.

Let’s see how I did.

DIY Sympathy Card2

I used the Spring Flower Flourish Corner as my SVG. While my main flower was pink, I kept some turquoise/blues in there, along with a solid matte gold flourish.

Sticking with the turquoise/blue family I used it for my background. Then using pink as my embossing powder to highlight my sentiment. (This is a stamp set by Just Rite called Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments.  This is no longer available when I went to find a link for you all.)

SO, what do you think?  Did I do at least an okay job keeping it gender-neutral? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

The files I used for this project from PCC is:

I used the Cute Mermaid SVG Embellishments for the front of this card with a title I made up in my fonts on my SCAL 6.

Then using the Make a Splash Mermaid Tail, I made it to set off the front by using this as my saying for the inside of my card.

DIY Fur Baby Scrapbook Page

Fur Baby Pet Scrapbook page Idea

Good Morning Printable Cuttable Creatables Fans!  Christi here from Scrapping for Tranquility wanting to bring to you some really fun frames for your fur babies. Kristin did an awesome job on these and I see myself using these over and over.  Here is what I made with them:

Fur Baby Pet Scrapbook page Idea

This is my Doggie Stormy.  We lost him to bone cancer, April of 2022.  He was my companion, my best friend.  I have been wanting to make an album of him so when Creative Memories recently came out with a paw print coverlet, I knew it was time.  It has been hard and not without tears but here is one of the fun ones.

Fur Baby Scrapbook Page

If you notice, these adorable frames have pawprints all the way around the Paw Print Frames.  I took cardstock from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop in different colors of Encore Textured Cardstock.  Then using my Silhouette Cameo 3 I cut out the frames.  I will tell you to 2X the cut or make your pressure a little harder for I had to punch out every footprint.  My own fault for not thinking ahead.  lol

Next, I was able to cut the shape of my photos by again using my cameo but if you do not have an electric machine and if you have the cutting system from Creative Memories, that is a huge help.

Last but not least I found this beautiful dog saying on the internet that I typed up in Microsoft Word and that is how I received my title from my page.  I made my title out of a font I had in my Sure Cuts a Lot Stash of fonts.

School Scrapbook Layout Idea

DIY School Layout Idea 3

Good Morning  Printable Cuttable Creatables Fans! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility.  I am here today to show you a layout I did for back to school for my granddaughter , Jaelyn.

I know it is time for school ending but if you are like me, anytime of the year is school layouts.

Following is my completed layout.

DIY School Layout Idea

The first file I used from PCC was Lil Crayons and Pencils Borders. I made this to hold part of my title down the middle of my layout.  “First Grade Aug. 2019”  I really liked the way it came out

I also used the Pencil and Glue Bottle from the Cute SVG Bundle.

So many things to choose from in that bundle.  I know I will get a lot of school layouts out of that bundle!

Thanks for joining me on my back to school journey!  Until next time!

01 Groovy Retro Card 1

I used the following files from Printable Cuttable Creatables.

Groovy Retro Card

When I was finished with the outside, I wanted to pretty up the inside a bit, so I used the Peace sign and a Peace & Love Stamp I had from C.C. Designs.

Here is the final look at my finished groovy retro card:

Let me know what you think.  Would you like a card like this for a “thinking of you”, “Get well soon”, “Birthday”?  It can be for many occasions.  Let me know in the comments below!

For anyone who answers my question in the comments by Thursday April 18th, 2024, I will put you in a random drawing and you will receive this card and maybe a little surprise to go with it.  This way you can give it to your special someone.

Have a blessed weekend!
