DIY Floral Jar Decals

Looking to add a touch of charm to your kitchen? Or want to give a cute jar gift to your mother? These glass spice jars are functional and beautifully decorated with simple DIY floral jar decals! Today, I’m Ellen, and I’m sharing how I customized these jars using the “Celebrate Diversity SVG File” from Printable Cuttable Creatables – with a little Cricut magic.

I made the poster in Canva, which made the whole process super simple and beginner-friendly. First, I started with a checkered background in soft rose and red tones to create a cozy, romantic feeling. In the center, I added a floral silhouette and layered stunning rose elements from the SVG file right on top. The final touch? The word “enjoy” is a simple sentiment that ties everything together.

Materials Used:

• “Celebrate Diversity SVG File” from Printable Cuttable Creatables

• Glass spice jars with bamboo lids

• White permanent adhesive vinyl

• Cricut cutting machine, standard grip mat, weeding tools, and transfer tape

How to Create DIY Floral Jar Decals:

Step 1: After downloading the “Celebrate Diversity” SVG file, upload it into Cricut Design Space.

Step 2: The full SVG comes as one grouped design. Here’s how to use individual flowers:

• Ungroup the design in Cricut Design Space
• Each flower consists of several shapes – select all parts of one flower and use the “Attach” or “Weld” feature to keep them together
• To cut a flower into a circular shape, add a circle from the Shapes menu
• Place the circle over the flower, then use the “Slice” tool to create a clean circular floral jar label
• Delete the unwanted sliced parts and repeat for the other flowers

Step 3: Once your flowers are ready and sized to fit your jars, use your Cricut to cut them from white vinyl.

Step 4: Weed the excess vinyl, then use transfer tape to apply your DIY floral jar labels to each jar. Smooth the vinyl onto the glass and gently peel off the transfer tape.

The result? Three charming spice jars with delicate white floral designs—each one unique, just like the flowers in the original SVG. They look stunning lined up on a shelf or counter and make wonderful gifts!
