Hi there! I think crabs are so cute! Those eyes and the way they move around is just tops! I wanted to make a birthday card with one for a friend who feels the same way.

Supplies Used:
- Cute Crab SVG File & Clipart
- Seaweed SVG File & Clipart
- Cardstock in your choice of colors
- Cardstock panel 4.25×5.5”
- Card base A2 size 4.25×5.5” when folded
- Adhesive, liquid and foam adhesive
- Cutting machine, such as a Cricut machine or Silhouette Cameo
- Inks in blues, greens, browns
- Embossing powder in brown or sand
- Blending brushes
- Embossing ink dauber
- Heat Gun
- Clear or light colored sequins
- White gel pen (optional)
Create a rectangle the size of your card in the software for your cutting machine. I am using A2 size which is 4.25” x 5.5”. Bring in the assembled crab and seaweed designs. Using the rectangle, size and determine the layout of the card on the screen.

Draw a small rectangle for the birthday sign. You can type and print out the sentiment, hand-write, or use a stamp in your collection for the sentiment. Ungroup the designs and cut the pieces out in your choice of colors. Adhere all the layers of each piece together.

Add blue and green inks to the 4.25 x 5.5” card panel for the background of water. My ink is water reactive so I smudge with some drops of water too.

Along the bottom of the panel, spread embossing ink to create a sandy bottom. Sprinkle the embossing powder and set with a heat gun.

Optional—use some green inks to add some shading to the seaweed. This adds some detail and dimension.

Color the white piece that is the sign with some brown inks. Add your sentiment. Glue it into the claws of the crab.

Use foam adhesive to attach the crab to the card panel.

I added some sparkly sequins to mimic some bubbles rising.
Each card I make is its own little work of art. Don’t stress the details—just enjoy the process. I hope you enjoy this DIY Cute Crab Birthday Card and give it a try!
