Don’t you love it when you’re scrapbooking and you find the perfect embellishment for your photos? I know I do. When I saw the Valentine Hearts Wagon cut file, I knew it was going to be perfect for some impromptu photos of my granddaughters. I even kept the same color scheme!
It just goes to show that you can use any cut file for any reason. These photos were not taken during Valentine’s Day or anytime near February but hearts can be used any time of the year!
The only adjustment to the cut file that I did is to change the size of the unattached hearts. I needed them to be a little smaller for the layout. To do that, ungroup the image and then select the heart you want to adjust.

The plan that I had to create this layout is to treat each side as its own layout. In other words, the title and main embellishment on the left and photos and journaling on the right side.
The wagon was perfect for this idea!

This cut file is so cute! Here it is all put together and ready for the layout.

I found the title in Cricut Design Space but I could have easily created it myself with two different fonts. See how I used one of the leftover hearts for the dot in the “i”? So fun! The other two I placed directly on the photo! And here’s the layout. Do you love it as much as I do?

How did I put the layout together? I cut down a piece of patterned paper to 11×11 and placed it in the middle of the 12×12 pink cardstock base. The blue cardstock piece was cut at 6×12 and placed on the right side of the layout.
Two 4×5.5 (I trimmed them down) photos were adhered to the blue cardstock piece as well as a 3×5.5 piece of white cardstock for the journaling block.
On the left side, I adhered the wagon towards the bottom and then the title towards the top. This layout is really simple to create and having a large embellishment like the wagon was perfect!
