Sparkly Ocean Card Tips

Hi friends! I made a bright and sparkly card that can be used for so many occasions. I love to add texture, shading, and sparkle to cards made with SVG files. Just a little effort gives a lasting impression.

These sparkly ocean card tips will help you create stunning underwater-themed cards with professional-looking results!

Supplies Used:

• Clam with Pearl SVG
• Sea Coral SVG
• Electronic Cutter, such as Cricut or Silhouette Cameo
• Printer
• Scissors or paper Trimmer
• 4.25×5.25 card panel in while
• Glue
• Cardstock in various colors and patterns
• A2 card base
• Adhesive Vinyl and Transfer Tape (for sentiment)
• 4 x5.25 card panel in blue
• Ink in dark blue
• Ink blending brush
• Clear sequins
• Paint for splatter, such as white watercolor

Bring the SVG file into your cutting machine software.

Resize to the desired size. My card is A2 size: 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches. I make a rectangle on the screen in that size and size the graphics and choose layout right on the screen before cutting out.

I typed a sentiment “You’re A Gem!” in a bold font.

Ungroup if needed and cut out each piece in desired colors. The sentiment is cut out in adhesive vinyl. I do this to help keep all the letters perfectly aligned and it’s a great way to use up scrap vinyl.

Assemble and glue the clam and plants. Set aside.

For the background, use dark blue ink to add shading to edge of blue panel.

Adhere the cutout pieces to the blue panel.

Adhere the sentiment using transfer tape.

Use a splatter paint to represent bubbly water. I used a pearly watercolor.

Add some clear sequins to give more bubbles with a dimensional look.

Adhere the blue panel to the card base and trim over hanging shapes.

These sparkly ocean card tips create cards that shimmer and shine for any special occasion!
