Oh my goodness. I’m so excited to show off this super cute card I made using the Sweet Woodland Deer cut file. As always, there are two different deer styles included in the file and I decided to use the one with the eyes open. I think the hardest thing about putting this file together was making sure I had the different tones of brown. If you don’t, you could certainly use some ink to adjust the colors.

Once I cut all the pieces, I placed them on the mat and then layered them together before adding adhesive. Since this cutie is about 3.5” wide and 3” tall, liquid adhesive with a fine tip was a good choice to put it together.

I’ll be honest, at first I wasn’t going to add the white bottom layer because I thought it wasn’t necessary but then I realized it was the white in the deer’s eyes. This deer has five paper layers. Folks, it is so thick and perfect to add more dimension to your project! No need for extra foam adhesive for this card!

Sorry for the dirty mat. I really should clean it off before starting a new project but the glue is already dried so it didn’t affect the project at all. This image was a great way to use scraps since I made it small enough to fit on a standard A2 card.

A pretty and colorful plaid piece of patterned paper was added to the card base. Although I love the plaid piece, it just needed something extra…an oval! Yes, just another layer to add more interest. Do you think I stopped there? Nope. I used a stylus & the oval cutter tool to add an embossed oval within the cut oval.

It’s a pretty subtle addition, but I do love it. The other thing I did was add white dots here and there to the deer.
Look at those beautiful layers!

What do you think? Adorable and so sweet!
