Hi friends! I’m excited to present this summer sailboat card craft, which I made. I love nautical in the summer, and it fits so many occasions that I like to make some to have when the right time comes to send it to someone. They are great for sailing/boating friends, Father’s Day, masculine birthdays, and even sympathy.

Supplies Used:
- Sailboat Cuttable SVG
- Electronic Cutter, such as Cricut or Silhouette Cameo
- Printer
- Scissors or paper Trimmer
- 4.25×5.25 card panel in while
- Glue
- Cardstock in various colors and patterns
- A2 card base
- Sunburst stencil. I used “Where to next?” by Vicki Boutin
- Foam tape about 4.25” long, 1/4” wide
Bring the SVG file into your cutting machine software. Resize to the desired size. My card is A2 size: 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches
Ungroup if needed and cut out each piece in desired colors. I cut 5 strips of waves and I sized them to be wider than 4.25″ so I could stagger the waves a little.

Assemble and glue the sailboat and wave pieces. Set aside. NOTE: I started off making a yellow boat. I decided I didn’t like that with the background so I changed it to green. For the background, cut a 4.25×5.25″ base in white.
Use ink for the top portion, little more than half of panel, where the sky is in light yellow. Use a sunburst stencil with a darker yellow ink on top of the light yellow.

Apply a dark blue ink to the bottom portion of the panel. This is done so the white does not show in gaps between waves. Adhere the first strip of waves right at the seam of the blue and yellow inks.

Adhere two more strips of waves, overlapping a little and staggered unless you want all the wave peaks to line up. Adhere to sailboat and another strip of waves.

For the last strip of waves, adhere using a strip of foam tape to give it dimension.
This summer sailboat card craft is perfect for creating cards you can have ready for any nautical occasion!
