Summer temps are here so Hello Summer! I created this super cute popsicle banner to add to a round wooden sign.  I used Summer Popsicles ES029 cut file for these cute popsicles.  I used the file as is, except changing the chocolate popsicle to mimic my favorite ice cream popsicle, the Chocolate Bomb Pop.   Where’s the ice cream man when you need him?

There were lots of different shades to complete these popsicles and the finished popsicles look good enough to eat!   As always, I lay the pieces on top of each other before using adhesive.  This ensures the correct placement of each piece and avoids getting adhesive on the wrong area.

Each popsicle has at least three layers, so they are very sturdy for this banner.  I added a rectangle tab to the back of each to make threading the banner together easier.  I did this by inserting a rectangle from Basic Shapes in Design Space and adding a circle to each end.  Then I selected all the images and clicked on the Attach icon. This tells the machine to cut out the circles from the rectangle base.

Adhere the middle portion of the rectangle to the back of each popsicle using strong adhesive.

I used scrap vinyl to add the “hello summer” to the board and I also used scrap ribbon for the bow at the top.  I really don’t know how to make a bow but gathering a bunch of bright colored ribbons and tying them together was so easy that even I could do it.

The popsicles were cut at 6” tall but the fun part of using a cut file is you can customize the image to any size that fits your project.  This banner can definitely stand on its own but adding it to the black wooden sign really makes the colors pop!
