Ciao, amici! I’m dropping in from Morena’s Corner to share adorable and easy-to-make treats for St. Patrick’s Day! Who hasn’t dreamed of finding the end of a rainbow and the mythical pot of gold? These cute Rainbow Seeds DIY St. Patrick’s Day Treats for kids play off the idea of finding a magical rainbow.
These “rainbow seed” treat bags are quick to make, so they’re perfect for giving large groups like a class full of kids. I used the adorable Happy Go Lucky SVG file to make this fun little project.
First I added the text “rainbow seeds” to the file. I used my dropper tool to choose the yellow color in the rainbow, so the text would coordinate perfectly with the adorable image. Then I used the print feature in my design software to print the image onto white cardstock.
To add some shimmer and sparkle to my design (and to make it look like a cool sticker!) I cut just the rainbow out from clear glitter vinyl and transferred it to the treat tag. You can see from the closeup that the SVG file made it easy to perfectly cut out just the rainbow portion, right down to the little pieces between the letters.
I used my paper cutter to cut and score the treat bag tags. I filled a sandwich bag with Skittles candy and taped the label on top.
I can’t wait to surprise my kids with this on St. Patrick’s Day! I know the idea of rainbow seeds will make them giggle! Have fun crafting and creating for the people that you love!
