Hello friends! This is Linh or LV Handcrafted across the socials. Do you make cards to sell? Do you send a lot of cards to family and friends? Maybe you need to make a lot of cards for your kid’s classmates. There are times when you might need to make a lot of cards in a short amount of time. Today I’m sharing some quick & easy cardmaking tips.
Here’s my strategy for fast & easy cardmaking:
- Print full sheets of pattern papers & images so you have a lot of options
- Use your cutting machine to cut out the images & sentiments quickly
- Use something like the EZ Wonder Die #1 to cut out some basic shapes. This is a single die that will cut out several basic shapes. I cut 3 different pattern papers using this die. This gave me 25+ individual shapes – circles, squares, rectangles, and banners.
Now for the fun! Mix and match and start assembling your card layout!

If you prefer written instructions, follow the steps below:
STEP 1 Choose your digital papers, images and sentiments and print them out. I recommend 60 lb cover weight.
STEP 2 Die cut shapes from 3-4 different pattern papers.
STEP 3 Send your printed images through your Scan n Cut to cut out all the elements in one go.
STEP 4 Now play! With a pile and variety of elements to mix and match, have fun playing and trying out different layouts.
STEP 5 With leftover elements, decorate the inside of your card too! Another option is to decorate coordinating envelopes as well. |
