Hi there, it’s Dorlene and I have to say that this might be one of my favorite things I’ve created this year! I used the Tropical Toucan SVG File E4562 cut file just because it caught my eye as something bright and fun.  And this papercraft toucan cap certainly is!

This toucan cut file uses all sorts of bright colors whether you use paper or vinyl.  I am using paper for my project since I needed something to add to this paper baseball cap giftbox that I created using a file on Cricut Design Space.

The first thing I always do after cutting all the pieces with my Cricut, is to arrange them all together. I do this so when I’m ready to adhere them together, there’s no confusion on where the pieces go. Believe me, this is a great timesaving tip!

There have been so many times that I grab the cut piece, add adhesive and then realize that I put the adhesive on the wrong side!

I cut the Toucan at 3.25” tall so there are some small pieces. I used a fine tipped liquid adhesive bottle to adhere all the pieces together.  This really helps when you have small pieces and using a liquid adhesive gives a little wiggle room to make any placement adjustments.

Once the Toucan was put together, I used both liquid adhesive and foam adhesive to adhere it to the front of the cap.

Isn’t this so cute & fun?

My friend’s birthday is coming up and this is a perfect gift box to hold her gift!  Now that you’ve seen this bright & colorful Toucan, what are you going to make with it?
