Mini Journal Vinyl Hack

Today, I’m sharing a fun and super simple vinyl project that’s perfect for those of us short on time but big on creativity. I’m using the adorable Friendship Bracelet SVG Files from Printable Cuttable Creatables, and I’ll show you how to jazz up a mini journal with just a little regular adhesive vinyl. It’s quick, easy, and oh-so-satisfying!

Whether you’re using it to store snacks, art supplies, or small treasures, this bag is guaranteed to bring a smile. Made with love (and a bit of vinyl magic), it’s a great beginner-friendly Cricut project that’s perfect for gifting or keeping all to yourself!

✂️ Supplies Needed:

• Friendship Bracelet SVG Files
• Adhesive vinyl (I used soft pink, yellow, and purple)
• Transfer tape
• Cutting machine (Cricut, Silhouette, etc.)
• Mini journal or planner
• Weeding tools

Let’s Make It!

1. Choose Your Design: I picked out the LOVE bracelet design from the Friendship Bracelet SVG set. You can resize it to fit your mini notebook, which I recommend doing in your design software before cutting.
2. Cut Your Vinyl: Load your adhesive vinyl onto the mat and let your machine work its magic! Make sure your settings are correct for regular vinyl, not HTV (heat transfer vinyl).
3. Weed the Design: Use a weeding tool to carefully remove the excess vinyl. These tiny letter beads look super cute but be patient—weeding small letters takes a little extra care.
4. Transfer the Design: Apply transfer tape over your weeded design and burnish it well. Peel it off slowly, making sure all the letters and beads lift cleanly. Then place it on your notebook or cover, press firmly, and remove the tape.
5. Enjoy the Look! I stuck my design on a clear notebook cover so it peeks through and adds a sweet detail to the pages underneath. Simple, personal, and totally adorable!
