Joy Christmas Cardmaking Tutorial

Hey everybody! Leslie here and thanks for joining me on the blog today! I’m such a sucker for black and white and a pop of color because it always makes such a bold statement! I have a super cute Christmas card to share with you today featuring background paper from the Buffalo Plaid Digital Paper Pack along with the Deer Head Silhouette Free SVG Cut File and Snow Covered Christmas Alphabet Set SVG Cutting Files & Clipart!

1. Prepare Card Base and Elements

Cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and a layering panel for the inside from white cardstock.

Print black and white buffalo plaid digital paper from the Buffalo Plaid Digital Paper Pack. Trim a panel for the front and an embellishing strip for the inside.

Using an electronic cutter and the Deer Head Silhouette Free SVG Cut File, cut the deer head from red and dark red cardstock. Also, cut layering panels for the front and inside as well as an embellishing strip for the inside from red cardstock.
Print the J, O, and Y from the PNG Clipart file in the Snow Covered Christmas Alphabet Set SVG Cutting Files & Clipart. Fussy cut the letters and add faux snow if desired.

2. Adhere Layers
For the front panel, adhere the digital paper to the red cardstock panel. For the inside panel, adhere the digital paper and red cardstock embellishing strip to the white layering panel, and adhere the panel to the red cardstock. Adhere the two deer head layers.

3. Adhere Elements and Add Sentiments
Adhere the deer head and JOY letters to the front panel. Stamp the sentiment in black ink on a scrap piece of white cardstock, trim, and adhere to the center of JOY. Stamp another sentiment in black ink on the inside panel.

4. Complete the Card
Adhere the front and inside panels to the card base.
