Good morning Printable Cuttable Creatable Fans! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility!
I want to share a birthday card I made for a birthday card group I belong to.
Here is the card I made:
I started with my white base and then found some pretty turquoise burlap I had in my stash. I cut a 2-inch-wide piece to fit the front of my card base. I then went to PCC and looked under the leaves to find just the right leaves to make a small wreath. Tropical Leaves had the perfect one setting right in the middle of that set.
I made a circle with them glued down to my base and then went around again with the leaves only glued down at the stem. This makes the rest of the leaves seem full.
Next, I wanted to find small pretty flowers that I could decorate with but still be pretty if I downsized them. Here is where I found the perfect little flower, Retro Flowers. I have a Cameo and I downsized them to a .35 and they were the perfect size. I made them in the light turquoise and pink with a little yellow dot to offset them in the middle.
Taking a banner die from Pink and Main, I stamped Happy Birthday on the banner then embossed it with Tim Holtz’s Distress black embossing powder.
All in all, I love the way the card turned out. Let me know what you think!
Until next time!
