01 Halloween Movie Night Layout

When Hocus Pocus II the movie was released, my family decided to have a movie night. We dressed up in our Hocus Pocus gear and took some fun photos. When I saw the Put A Spell On You title, I knew it would be perfect for these photos! I also added the Spooky Bottle Potions cut file for more embellishments.

I uploaded the files into Design Space and then directly onto my canvas. As you know, if you have used Printable Cuttable Creatables cut files before, there are multiple cut files depending on what type of material you are using.  Just delete the images you won’t use.  To do this, highlight the entire image and select the Ungroup icon on the top right in Design Space.  Once the image is ungrouped, select the image to delete and then click on the trash can.

And now I have the four images that I want for my project.

I decided to change these cut images into a Print then Cut project.  To do this, select the image and then click on the Flatten icon on the bottom right corner.  When you flatten the image, it becomes a print then cut image.

Before doing that, I am going to add an offset to the images.  I like to do this just in case my Cricut doesn’t cut it precisely and it gives a nice border.

To do this, click on the image and then select the Offset function which is in the upper middle of the menu bar.  The offset defaults to black, but I’ll show you how to change it to white.

As you can see, I also added some white lines to embellish the bottles a littleJust go to the Operation Pull Down and click on the colored box. Change the color from black to white.

Make sure the offset (which is now white) and the image are all selected and then click on the flatten icon.

I’m going to do the same thing with the different poison bottles.

I changed the canvas background to black so you can see how these images will print out. more.

Now to work on the layout.  Once I had all the photos and patterned papers in place, I added these cute embellishments and the layout was complete!  I love using the Print then Cut option for my scrapbooking especially when using titles and small images.  All those itty bitty pieces can be a lot sometimes.
