Hi, I’m Michi of @mitchcraftaholic. I was part of the Design Team 2025, and this month I’m back as a guest designer. Today I’m excited to share a special graduation project that’s close to my heart—this Graduation Gift Tote Bag Idea featuring PCC’s “Watch Me Bloom” design!
Graduation is one of those moments that feels like both an ending and a beginning. It’s a celebration of everything you’ve worked for and a quiet promise of everything still ahead. That’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture when I created my “Watch Me Bloom” mini tote bag using my Cricut Maker 3.

The Inspiration Behind the Design
I used the Printable Cuttable Creatables “Watch Me Bloom” SVG design, which features a toga paired with blooming flowers. I loved how it symbolizes growth, transformation, and stepping into a new chapter. Graduation isn’t just about finishing school, it’s about becoming something more.
Materials I Used:
- Cricut Maker 3
- Iron-On Vinyl
- Cricut EasyPress 3
- Weeding Tool
- Mini Canvas Tote Bag
- Ohuhu Fabric Markers
The Process
I started by cutting the design using my Cricut Maker 3 and iron-on vinyl. After weeding out the excess material, I carefully applied the design onto the mini canvas tote bag using the EasyPress.

Adding Color with Ohuhu Fabric Markers
This was my first time using Ohuhu Fabric Markers, and I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Coloring the floral elements brought the design to life in such a fun and relaxing way.

Since I don’t really hoard a lot of colorful iron-on vinyl, this turned out to be a great alternative for adding color to my design. Instead of layering multiple vinyl colors, I could simply press a base design and customize everything with markers.
It gave me more freedom to play with shades, blend colors, and make each flower unique. The result feels more handmade and full of personality.
Why This Makes a Perfect Graduation Craft

This mini tote bag isn’t just cute, it’s meaningful and functional. It works as packaging for small graduation gifts like treats, notes, or keepsakes, and it doubles as something the recipient can reuse.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a graduation DIY that’s unique, practical, and fun to make, this mini tote bag is definitely worth trying. And if you’re like me and don’t have a stash of colorful vinyl, fabric markers are such a great way to bring your designs to life.
Because sometimes, the best way to celebrate growth… is to create something that blooms right along with you. Happy crafting!
