Hello, friends! It’s Nancy here with a fun Halloween Cardmaking Tutorial!
This time I am sharing how I made two simple Halloween-themed cards,
using some great digital files from the shop.
Here are my cards:
Cute, right?
When you purchase a file from Printable Cuttable Creatables,
they come with many different options.
For example, the cute Cat in a Pumpkin File includes:
- SVG file Assembled
- SVG file Separated
- PNG Clipart file in Four Image Variations
That means a lot of creative options with one file purchase!
So much fun!
Here’s how I made my cards:
I began with the Halloween Treats Digital Paper Pack.
These papers are sized to print out at 12 x 12 – but you can resize them.
When I print two on an 8 1/2 x 11 page, they come out as 5″ squares.
This makes them perfect for an A2 card.
I then chose my design files:
Halloween Cat in Pumpkin SVG File;
and
Stacked Jack O Lanterns SVG File.
Using my Cricut Explore Air, and Cricut Design Space,
I sized both png files at 4 1/4″ tall.
I then used the print/cut option with my Cricut.
Here they are all cut out.
I then used some Distress Ink to ink around the edges of the cuts.
This covers up the white edges and also gives the flat cuts some extra dimension.
Then I went back to the printed papers.
I chose two cardstock colors that matched the papers.
I cut tent-fold A2 card bases, then cut my printed papers to fit the front.
(shown in left side photo)
That left me with a small strip of paper.
I added that to the inside of the card.

Here’s a closer look at each card:
I added the pumpkin image to the card front using foam tape.
I then added several matching sequins.
I added the cat image to the card front using foam tape.
I applied glossy accents to the cat’s eyes to make them shine.
I also added a small ribbon bow.
Two fun seasonal cards that were so much fun to make!
I hope you give it a try!
