Hello there! I keep a summer activity bag that contains summer essentials that I just grab and take. It has things like sunscreen, bug spray, a first aid kit, and sunglasses. I really needed a fun summer case to put those summer shades in—so I made this DIY Tropical Sunglasses Case!

Supplies:
- Supplies:
- Tropical Sunglasses SVG File
- Sunglass case
- Heat transfer vinyl
- Heat press or iron
- Teflon sheet or parchment paper
- Electronic Cutting Machine and software (I am using Silhouette Studio with a Cameo)
Download the file listed.
Create a rectangle in the software that is the size of the sunglass case. I only included up to the stitching on the side that opens.
Open the assembled sunglass file in the design software. Choose if you want a white background or none and move the unwanted version off the side or delete.
Resize the sunglasses to fit as desired in the rectangle. You can now delete just the rectangle—we don’t need it for this DIY Tropical Sunglasses Case.

Mirror the sunglass design as we need to cut it backwards for heat transfer vinyl. The reality here is that this design is the same either way but I still mirror so I keep the habit.
Separate the layers of the design. You can color each layer to what color vinyl you want to use. This helps keep you organized but also allows you to visualize your project.

Cut each layer of vinyl and weed the excess off the sheet.

Starting with the bottom layer and working up, press each layer separately. If you can see the texture through the vinyl, you know you have a good press.

Once all layers are applied, cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper and do a good hard final press. That final press really helps this DIY Tropical Sunglasses Case look smooth and professional.

Let cool and enjoy!
