Hello crafters! The holiday rush is officially here, and if you’re like me, you’re still squeezing in a few last-minute crafts before Christmas arrives. Don’t worry, this quick project is here to help. Today I’m sharing a quick, festive project that delivers big charm with minimal effort: my go-to DIY Printable Gable Box. Whether you use a cutting machine or just a trusty pair of scissors, these little boxes make adorable gift packaging in minutes.

For this tutorial, I’m using two SVG files from Printable Cuttable Creatables:

How to Make a DIY Printable Gable Box
If you visit the Gingerbread Gable Box page, you’ll find a tutorial for making the box with various cardstock options. For this project, however, I’m using photo paper to give the design a bright, vibrant finish.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Customize Your Design
Import the print-and-cut SVG files into Cricut Design Space.
Step 2: Resize to Fit Your Paper
Adjust the size as needed. I’m using A4 paper, so I resized the design to fit within that cutting area.
Step 3: Set the Score Line
Select the first layer, change it to Score, and then click Attach so your Cricut knows to score the design instead of cutting it.
Step 4. Click “Make It”
Follow the on-screen prompts to print and cut your design.

Step 5. No Cutting Machine? No Problem!
If you don’t have a Cricut, print the included PDF file, then cut and score the design manually.

Step 6. Assemble Your Gable Box
Once everything is cut and scored, assemble the box using adhesive. For extra sturdiness, cut a 3 x 3-inch square from cardstock and glue it inside the bottom of the box.

Once your box is assembled, it’s ready to fill with goodies, gifts, or treats. Simple, festive, and beginner-friendly, what more could we ask for during the holiday rush?

I hope this little project inspires you to squeeze in a bit of creative joy this season. Wishing you a crafty and cozy Christmas!
