Hey friends! It’s me again, Latoya from Hanging with the Kiddos, with another DIY
party idea. For my September project, I wanted to whip up something super fun
for football season. Nothing says Game Day like a ticket, right? So I designed a
DIY Ticket-Style Invitation using Printable Cuttable Creatables Cheer SVG Set
and Football Jersey Clipart.
These invitations aren’t just party invites — they double as keepsakes your guests
will love holding onto. And the best part? You can totally customize them for
birthdays, team events, tailgates, or school spirit nights!
SVGs & Supplies Used
Here’s everything I used to create my DIY Game Day Ticket Invitations:
SVGs & Clipart from Printable Cuttable Creatables
Tools & Materials
- Canva (for designing)
- Cricut Design Space (for print then cut)
- Perforation Cutter or Cricut Perforation Blade (optional, for tear-off stub)
- Cardstock or thick glossy photo paper (for printing sturdy tickets)
- Printer
Designing the Ticket in Canva
Step 1: Create Your Canvas
Open Canva and create a custom canvas sized at 8.5 x 2.75 inches. This format is perfect for mimicking a real event ticket.

Step 2: Divide the Ticket
Add a dotted line down the middle to create a clear stub section.
Step 3: Add the Ticket Notch
Insert a circle shape, place it along the edge of the stub, and change the color to
white. This creates the classic ticket notch effect.

Designing the Ticket
Step 4: Upload the football jersey PNG (without numbers) and layer on your own
custom number using Canva text.
Step 5: Add the cheer graphics — pom-poms and megaphone — to the stub side
for balance and team spirit.
Step 6: Insert your event details (Game Day Party, date, time, location). Add
“Admit One,” row/seat text, and a barcode to finish the authentic ticket look.

2. Upload to Cricut Design Space
- Resize to 8.5 x 2.75 inches.
3. Clean Up the Ticket Notch
- Remember the white circle we added in Canva to create the notch?
- In Design Space, use the Background Remover tool to delete that white circle area.
- This makes the notch transparent, so Cricut will actually cut it out instead of printing it.

4. Make It
- Fit two tickets per 8.5 x 11 page.
- Add a perforation line if you have the Cricut perforation tool.
- If not, you can use a manual perforation cutter to add the tear line.

5. Print
- Use cardstock or glossy paper.
- Adjust printer settings for best quality.
6. Cut with Cricut
- Place the sheet on your cutting mat.
- Cricut will scan and cut around your tickets.
- If you added a perforation, Cricut will also score the stub line.

“I used a manual perforation cutter for mine, and it worked perfectly!”
The Finished Look
And that’s it! You’ve got yourself custom Game Day Ticket Invitations that look
Professional, yet super fun and easy to make.
They’re perfect for:
- Tailgates
- Birthdays
- School football events
- Team spirit parties
