Hi crafty friends! Latoya here again from Hanging with the Kiddos, and Iʼm super excited to share another fun holiday project with you using Printable Cuttable Creatablesʼ Christmas Treats SVG kit.
Looking for a fun and easy way to make your own holiday treat bags? This project is the
perfect way to package up your goodies! I’ll show you how to pull everything together in
Canva is using this super cute SVG kit.
what You’ll Need
- Christmas Treats SVG Scrap Kit
- Glossy paper or cardstock
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Double-sided tape or glue
- zip-top bag (5 x 7 Inches)
- Holiday treats for filling
- Optional: Pinking Shears / Zig Zag Scissors

Step 1: Set Up Your Canvas
- Open Canva and click “Create a design.”
- Choose custom size: 11 x 8.5 inches (landscape).

Step 2: Create Your Treat Bag Layout
- Go to “Elements” and add a rectangle.
- Middle panel: Set the size to 6.5 x 5.54 inches and center it on your canvas (this will be the front of your bag).
- Side panels: Add two more rectangles, each 6.5 x 2.73 inches. Place one on each side of the middle panel—these will form the back of your bag when assembled.

Step 3: Decorate
- Upload your Christmas Treats SVGs or PNGs to Canva.
- You can also upload the digital paper from the SVG kit—I love using these patterns for the back sides of the labels!
- Arrange your favorite holiday elements on each panel—think candy canes, stockings, gingerbread, and more.
- Add a special touch by personalizing the middle panel with a holiday greeting or someone’s name using Canva’s text tool.

Step 4: Print & Assemble
- Download your finished design as a PDF.
- Print on glossy paper or cardstock.
I like to start by placing my printed label face down on my work surface. Then, I
fold both sides in toward the center and make a light crease—this helps shape the
back of the bag.

Next, I apply double-sided tape along the top, bottom, and side edges.

After that, I line up the opening of my resealable zip-top bag with the top edge of the printed label, then seal the sides, top, and bottom.

Step 5: Fill & Seal!
Add your treats to the resealable bag and zip it closed. For a fun finishing touch, I used pinking shears (zig zag scissors) to trim the top and bottom edges of the bag. It gives your treat bag that extra festive look!

Here’s a look at the finished treat bag—so cute, festive, and ready to gift!
Hope you have fun making these Christmas treat bags!
