DIY Axolotl Keychain

Summer has arrived, which means kids are heading to camps, grandparent’s houses, and more! Help them keep track of their stuff with this adorable DIY axolotl keychain bag tag that you can personalize with their name. I’m swimming over from Morena’s Corner to show you how I made this cute tag for my son’s bag.

DIY Axolotl Keychain Supplies Used

• Cute Axolotl SVG Files
• 1/8″ Frosted Black Acrylic Plexiglass
• xTool S1 20W Enclosed Diode Laser Cutter
• Rub n’ Buff Silver
• Soft Cloth
• Q-tip
• Silhouette Design Studio
• Key Ring
  

I opened the Cute Axolotl SVG Files in Silhouette Design Studio and chose which one to use. The files include three different cute axolotls! I added my son’s name, then outlined the whole thing and added the circle at the top to make the key ring holder.

I set the image to engrave and the outline to cut. 

I used my laser cutter to engrave the image and then cut out the bag tag

Then I wiped it off using a very soft cloth. The silver will stay on the engraved parts and can be wiped off the smooth areas.

Finally, I added a key ring loop so I could put the tag on his bag. Now it will be easy for him to find his bag whenever he leaves home. Have fun crafting & creating with Printable Cuttable Creatables!
