Kris here and I think, what better way to end my spring Design Team roll with what got me started with Printable Cuttable Creatables in the first place…..birthday things!!!
A few years back my daughter had a mermaid themed birthday in which I used PCC designs to help with the birthday theme. This year’s birthday theme was……cats! No, we don’t have any cats….and no….we won’t be getting any cats either. Who knows where this idea came from, but I knew I could count on Printable Cuttable Creatables to help me create some cat themed birthday decor!
The files I used in this project are:
- Cute Black Cat SVG Cutting File & Clipart
- Black Cat Treat Bag SVG File
- Free LOVE Cat SVG Files
- Single Line Birthday Sentiments SVG Set
The first project I created was the cat party banner, using the Free LOVE Cat SVG Files. I used the 2 bottom layers of the cat head and I added 2 holes on the bottom layer to hang the banner on the ribbon. Quick and easy and you have a cute cat banner.
You could easily add letters to the cat heads as well, this time we chose not to. She wanted the banner to be layered in front of a pink store bought banner, I think it turned out fabulous for the space!
Next was for the goodie bags! I bought some plain brown crafting gift bags……perfect canvas to create your own design. I used the Black Cat Treat Bag SVG file for this one. I simply just used the eyes, pink ears and the nose and whiskers to create this look! The glitter paper for the whiskers just makes them pop! To tie it in some more, I used the smaller layer from the previous file, Free LOVE Cat SVG Files and added a little tag for the bags “MEOW!! (that’s cat for “thanks!!”” How cute is that!!
My final project to tie everything together, I originally wanted to use the Cute Black Cat SVG Cutting File & Clipart to make a Pin The Tail On The Cat type of game, but I was having issues with my computer and software updates, so I quickly made a change a created this cute cake topper and used the same glitter whiskers from the Black Cat Treat Bag SVG File! How cute is this cake topper?! No judging my baking or cake decorating skills here!
Here too, I incorporated the Single Line Birthday Sentiments SVG Set for the “Happy Birthday” across the cat. I’m a huge fan of the foil paper and tool set from Cricut!
Overall, I’m really pleased with how this all turned out. Had my daughter decided on her theme prior to handing out her invitations, I for sure would have created some cat theme birthday invites as well!
She was happy and her birthday party was a success!
Thank you for joining me on this creative journey and I hope that I left you with some inspiration!
Thank you so much!
