Banner Paper Clip Bookmarks

Hi crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing an easy and cute project that was actually therapeutic for me to make – these adorable crafty banner embellishments! They’re perfect for adding a handmade touch to your projects, but they’re also super versatile. Since they’re attached to paper clips, they can double as bookmarks that securely hold your page, or even cute little accents for journals, planners, and notebooks.

For this project, I used the Printable Cuttable Creatables Spring Polka Dots Digital Paper Pack for the banners and the Cute Back to School set for the embellishments. The Back to School set actually comes with even more adorable designs, but if you only want certain images, you can also purchase them individually. From this set, I used Stapler and Tape, Glue, Happy Notebook, Happy Crayon, Happy Pencil, Cute Globe, Pencil Jar, Cute Laptop, and Cute Planner.

Materials Used:

• Bearly Art Glue
• Paper clips
• String
• Foam tape
• Scissors
• Enamel dots
• Button stickers
• Crafting sentiment stickers
• Spring Polka Dots Digital Paper Pack 
• Cute Back to School set

Instructions

1. Prepare your designs. I used my Cricut Maker to Print Then Cut these cute little images.

2. Pick your pattern papers. I used the Spring Polka Dots Digital Paper Pack  and chose the designs with smaller polka dots.

3. Cut your patterned papers into strips measuring 1 3/4” x 4”.

4. Score the strips in the middle at 2” on the 4” side. If you don’t have a scoreboard, you can simply fold them in half.

5. Insert the paper clip into the folded strip until it reaches the middle, then adhere both sides together.

6. Using scissors, cut the ends into banner shapes to create the cute flag look.

7. Now for the fun part – decorating! Add your Back to School embellishments onto the banners. I used foam tape on some pieces to give them extra dimension.

8. Finish them off with more embellishments like sticker sentiments, string, enamel dots, buttons, and anything else that makes you happy.

And tadaaaa! You now have adorable little banner embellishments that can be used for scrapbooks, journals, planners, bookmarks, happy mail, and so much more. They’re quick, customizable, really a relaxing project to make!
