Hello friends! This is Linh or LV Handcrafted across the socials. You can make stickers without sticker paper or an electric cutting machine. You just need some basic supplies!
I bought a pack of chapsticks but none of them have labels. I thought they’d make great gifts, but I want the recipient to know what “flavor” the chapstick is so I decided to make my own label stickers! I started by getting the Birthday SVG Scrap Kit. This is an awesome bundle that has patterns, graphics, sentiments, etc.
I created my label using photo editing software (you could also use word processing software) and printed it out on plain copy paper. Then I cut my labels to the size I needed to cover the chapstick. Since I used an inkjet printer and thin paper, I brushed a thin coating of Mod Podge over the entire label. This protects the ink from getting water-damaged and more durable. It also gives a nice shiny finish, making it look more like a vinyl sticker. Finally, I applied double-sided dry adhesive to the back of the label. The last step is to peel off the paper liner and adhere it to my chapstick!
I made a little chapstick holder with some scrap paper I had leftover from a previous project, but the Birthday SVG Scrap Kit has a lot of fun pattern papers that would have been an even better match with my newly labeled chapsticks.
Thanks for checking out my project today!
