Egg-cellent Dyed Egg Decals

Colored Eggs Decals
Colored Eggs Decals

Hello, Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Shalon here with a quick bit of Easter egg-dying inspiration!  Using adhesive vinyl and some simple Easter shapes you can create egg-cellent decals when dying your Easter eggs! I used the outlines from the Cute Bunny Cuttable SVG File,

Bunny SVG Files

the outline from the Cute Chick SVG Cut File & Clipart ,

Chick SVG Files

and the “HOP” and bunny head from the Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File.

Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File

Be sure to resize each image so it is about 1 inch high. If you make the images too large they will gap around the curvature of the egg! Then cut out your vinyl, weed, and you have a bunch of eggs-quisite decals ready for your eggs!

They can be placed on the eggs with transfer tape or just like stickers, (I used transfer tape for the word HOP only so I could keep the spacing between the letters.)

Dye your eggs using your preferred method. (I dye with hot water, food coloring, and vinegar.)

Remove the decals after dyeing and voila! you have the most egg-stra special eggs for your egg hunt, Easter décor, or however you care to use them! I hope you’re egg-cited to give this trick a try!

Who is ready for Easter?!?

Kris here!

Easter is right around the corner and I’m excited to share this cute layered Easter egg banner with you all!  If you have seen a couple of my previous projects….then you know how much I love a good banner in my dining area!

Shhh….. A little secret….I think this banner tops them all!

Layered Easter Egg Banner

When I think of Easter….I can’t help but think of all the Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies.  What is better than combining the two?

For my banner, I used the files:

I love the layered Easter Egg cut file…..I think it has so much potential!  Pick the colors you love best.  Spring and Easter make me think of pastel colors, so I went with: yellow, blue, pink, and aqua cardstock from my local Michaels!  I used my favorite precision glue pen to glue the eggs together.

I took the Girl Bunny cut file and the Bunny cut file and I uploaded the separated file to Cricut Design Space.  From there, I only used the 2 layers for the bunny ears, the white and the pink.  I think the bunny ears poking out from behind the eggs is just the perfect touch to my Easter banner!

Layered Easter Egg Banner

I love the purple glitter cardstock that I used for the letters in EASTER, I think it gives it a nice shimmer!  For the letters, I used 3D foam adhesives to really make the letters pop!

I’m so ready for Easter in my dining area now!

Flocked Easter Bunny Treat Box

1 flocked easter bunny treat holder diy

Ciao amici! I’m hopping over from Morena’s Corner to share how I like to put my own twist on this sweet Easter Bunny Treat Box. The SVG file is adorable just the way it is, but a few little additions raise the cuteness level even higher!

Flocked Easter Bunny Treat Box

After cutting out the pieces, I like to add flocking powder to the paper before I assemble the treat box bunny! Flocking powder is tiny fibers that you can glue onto a paper surface to create a fuzzy texture. Adding it to paper cutouts like this cute Easter bunny gives the cute critter a soft, almost plush-like texture.

I like to use my Xyron Creative Station to add flocking to paper projects, like these cards, but you can use other adhesives, too. After the bunny face, ears, hands, feet and body have been flocked with either white or pink powder, assemble the box by following the instructions that come with the file. To finish up this project, I cut green cardstock into grass-like blades and glued them onto the other three sides of the box.

I love the way this box turned out, and can’t wait to make several more with different colors and flocking powders. Have fun crafting and creating for Easter!

Sublimation Easter Mugs and Coasters

Sublimination Easter Mugs and Coasters

SVG files can be used for sublimation too! Make a cute set of Sublimation Easter Mugs and Coasters using Easter SVG files and digital papers!

Sublimation Easter Mugs and Coasters

Today’s post features the gorgeous SVG files and Digital Paper Packs (Bunny Squad SVG File, Spring Carrots Split Frame Monogram SVG File, Pizza My Heart Free SVG File, Birthday Party Hats Free SVG Cut Files & Clipart, Spring Gingham Check Seamless Patterns & Digital Paper Pack and Happy Easter Seamless Patterns & Digital Paper Pack).

Sublimation Easter Mugs and Coaster

The first projects I created were these cute mugs; I used one pattern paper from each set mentioned above.

1. First I did Print and Cut for the mug design. When you want to sublimate it’s important to use a sublimation printer. Sublimation images are transferred using heat on different materials that have a specific coating. It gives a sustainable and professional quality to your handmade items. I added the digital papers to a “Word” document and printed them out (it’s normal for the images to look faded/light).

2. Next I cut the papers in the correct size for the mugs. With some heat-resistant tape, I attached the sublimation paper to the mugs.

3. Then I applied some baking paper to protect my mug press. I followed the guide of my mug press and created super cute Easter sublimation mugs.

How to Sublimate Mugs and Coasters

Here you can see the adorable Spring Carrots Pattern sublimated onto the mug. In this post, I chose patterns that are perfect for an Easter breakfast, but that is not too specific to only be used for Easter. In my opinion, it’s nice to use the mugs and coasters throughout the spring and not only for just one day!

On the second mug I used the blue colored Spring Diamond Gingham Digital Paper.

Sublimation Easter Mugs and Coaster

As you can see in the pictures I made some matching coasters too!!

1. For the coasters I didn’t use a fancy program, I simply used “Word” to create two squares the size of the coasters and printed it with the sublimation printer (remember to mirror your designs before printing!).

2. With some heat resistant tape I attached the sublimation paper to the coasters. Next I covered the coaster with some baking paper.3. Turn the coasters with the paper side up to transfer the design with the Cricut EasyPress. Press settings: 180°C or 356 °Fahrenheit and press for 60 sec.

How to Sublimate Coasters

This coaster was simple to make. I used the Spring Carrots Split Frame Monogram SVG File. Next I wrote “Good vibes” in the frame and gave it different colors.

How to Sublimate Coasters

On this coaster I used different elements. I started with the blue colored Spring Diamond Gingham Digital Paper for the background. I added one of the bunnies from the Bunny Squad SVG File in the middle. In the background, you can see the hearts from the Pizza My Heart Free SVG File and the star shaped sprinkles from the Birthday Party Hats Free SVG Cut Files.

How to Sublimate Easter Coasters

Sublimation is a real game-changer. It’s so much fun to create these professional looking and cute projects with SVG files from PCC!

Valentine’s Day HTV Gift Bags

Valentine's Day HTV Gift Bags
Valentine's Day HTV Gift Bags

Welcome to the Printable Cuttable Creatables blog, it’s Ellen here sharing Valentine’s Day DIY Gift Bags featuring some lovely SVG files from PCC (Cute Lemon & Lime, Cute Strawberry, Cute Autumn Acorns, and the Baby Blocks Capital Alphabet Set).

Valentine Gift Bags Cricut Tutorial

I looked at some funny Valentine’s quotes on google for the images I wanted to use. Then I uploaded all the illustrations to Cricut Design Space. I deleted all the shapes I didn’t need, for example, the squares around the Baby Blocks Capital Alphabet Set

Next, I selected the words “Zest”, “Berry” and “Nuts” and used the ‘align tool’ to align the bottom and space the words evenly (my Cricut Design Space is in Dutch, but I hope the picture still helps you out since the icons are the same).

When I was happy with the end results I let the machine do the work and cut every piece I needed.

To bring the idea into reality, prepare the supplies a bit too. Here are my tips for heat transfer.

  1. In this case, I used small bags. It is always a good idea to iron your fabrics before applying the HTV. This will keep your HTV from wrinkling, but it’s also handy to center all the artwork on the fabric.
  2. It’s always helpful to use a clothes roller to get rid of all the little bits of dust and hair (definitely a must if you have furry fluffs running around the house).
  3. As a final tip, don’t forget to use baking paper between your work and the heat press. Otherwise, it’s possible your HTV may stick onto your heat press. This is especially useful for illustrations with many layers like here.

The end results are simply stunning and super cute!!

I bought some heart-shaped cookies that fit in these bags. They will be given away on Valentine’s Day to some family members.

I still have a few quotes I love: You are very a-PEELING, I love you CHERRY much, you hold the KIWI to my heart,… I really can keep going here and cannot wait to see what you make!
