DIY Gift Card Holders

DIY Gift Card Holders

Hey everybody! Leslie here and thanks for joining me on the blog today! Gift cards are so easy… who’s with me on that?! I’m sharing a set of three awesome DIY gift card holders today which includes one that’s super versatile and could be used for any occasion! I created Christmas versions with the Christmas Tree Gift Card Holder SVG File and Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holder SVG File and a birthday version with the Christmas Present Gift Card Holder SVG File!

Using my Scan N Cut and the Christmas Tree Gift Card Holder SVG File, I cut the Christmas tree pieces from several different patterns of green cardstock. I also used gold foil cardstock for the star along with pink, blue, and orange glitter cardstock for the ornaments.

Next, I used the Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holder SVG File and cut the stocking pieces from white and a red plaid pattern cardstock. I inked the edges of the pieces, then used a piece of vintage ephemera (popped up on foam dots), a twine bow, and some red bumpy bling to embellish the stocking.

And last but not least, I used the Christmas Present Gift Card Holder SVG File to create a birthday version of this gift card holder. I cut the present pieces from several different patterns of pink and orange cardstock. I also used orange glitter cardstock for the bow and stamped a birthday sentiment in hot pink ink.

Thanks again for stopping by today, and we’ll see you next time!

Scrappy hugs,

Leslie

Candy Cane Scrapbook Layout

Candy Cane Scrapbook Layout

Good morning! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility. I am here with my Candy Cane Scrapbook Layout featuring Printable Cuttable Creatables SVG Files.

Grab a cup of your favorite warm beverage, sit back and enjoy a short read about my layout.

Candy Cane Scrapbook Layout

I knew as soon as I saw these files which pictures I wanted to scrap with them. I have a lot of Christmas photos from Christmas 2017 that need to be scrapped yet.

I started with 2 sheets of AC Precision White Cardstock for my background.

After deciding which photos I was going to use, I  then used AC Crimson Cardstock with the AC Precision White to make the SVG file Candy Cane Frames.

Christmas Memories Scrapbook Layout

The frames come in a rectangle, a square, a circle, and an oval.  I used every shape on my layout but the circle.  I did make some for future layouts though.

Christmas Candy Cane Scrapbook Layout

I did upsize a few of the rectangles to fit my pictures on the first page.  Which you could do with any of these.  You could upsize or downsize to fit your needs.  I just love the little holly berries that came with the frames to add the finishing touch to each frame.

The next SVG file I used was the Candy Cane Heart.  I put one in each corner of the layout to balance it out.  I just love them and think they have an elegance about them.

Marshmallow World Sign Tutorial

Marshmallow World Hot Cocoa Sign

Hello, everyone! It’s Nancy here with a fun new project tutorial.

As I was browsing in the shop at all the fabulous Winter and Christmas files,
this Marshmallow Winter papercraft sign idea popped into my head.
It was so much fun to make!

Here’s my finished project:

Marshmallow World Hot Cocoa Sign

Marshmallow Snowman Cricut Project

I began by using the print-then-cut option for the marshmallow snowmen.

The Smore Sleighride file included the plain snowman image.

I used one of those as is, then I shrunk one down and flipped it.

Marshmallow Snowmen SVG Files

Here they are cut out. Aren’t they adorable?

I really like the touches of green.

Marshmallow World Title SVG Cut File

I sized my title file at 11 inches wide.

I began with all the white bits.

Marshmallow World Sign Tutorial

Then I did the frosty blue cuts.

The one-piece is a layer from the title file.

I chose the round tag from the tag set and cut only the one layer – 3 times.

Marshamllow World Sign Tutorial

Then I cut the detailed/contrast lettering.

This I did in a milk chocolate brown color that matched the images.

Marshamellow Snowman Sign Tutorial

Next, I adhered all the images to the tags.

Then I started assembling the title.

I added the blue background onto the white base,

and then added the white elements on top.

It's a Marshamallow World Hot Cocoa Sign

Then I went on to add the detailed lettering.

Marshamallow World Sign Tutorial

I then cut four pieces of pretty shimmery ribbon that measured 8 inches.

I threaded a ribbon through the tag, and applied a little piece of double-sided tape to the back, as shown.

Marshamllow Snowman S'mores Sleigh SVG File

I then folded the ribbon up, matching the edges.

The tape holds it in place nicely and straight.

I repeated that process for the other two tags.

Marshmallow World Sign Tutorial

Next, I laid the title piece, and the three tags, face down on my measuring mat,

ensuring that everything was lined up straight and even.

Marshmallow World Sign Tutorial

It’s hard to see in this photo but I then used tape to secure both ribbons ends in place.

I then decided to go back and cut one more of the large white-layer pieces.

I adhered this to the back, as it enclosed the ribbons and finished things off.

I don’t have a photo of that but I’m sure you don’t need one.

Snowman Marshmallow SVG Files

Then it was just a matter of adding a couple of finishing touches.

I tied three little ribbon bows, using the same ribbon,

and adhered them to the top of each tag.

Hot Cocoa Sign Tutorial

I punched a hole in the top of the title piece and added an eyelet.

I then inserted the fourth piece of ribbon through the eyelet and tied a knot.

Marshmallow Winter Sign

Finally, I added some sparkly Stickles to the snowflakes.

Marshmallow Winter Sign Tutorial

Isn’t that fun?

I am hanging this Marshmallow Winter papercraft sign above my coffee center.

We enjoy lots of hot chocolate in Winter.

It would also be a fun gift for anyone that loves the hot chocolate

…and marshmallows, of course!

You can even get the kids involved! :o)

I’ll be back soon with another fun project!

DIY Christmas Flower Poinsettia Card

Christmas Flower Poinsettia Cardmaking Idea

DIY Christmas Flower Poinsettia Card

Hi Everyone!  Kris here!

I cannot believe it is November already….where has the time gone?  It feels just like yesterday when I was making a Hello Summer door sign.

I have a cute and kid-friendly project for you all today.  November is the time when my daughter and I start to design our handmade Christmas cards.  Last year we made Christmas cards around the theme of Christmas trees. So we browsed online for Christmas card ideas and she found a card with a poinsettia on it that she loved, she called it the Christmas flower.

Cricut Christmas Flower Card Idea

So what perfect SVG file to use from Printable Cuttable Creatables? The Christmas Flower Poinsettia SVG Cut File and Clipart.

Let’s get started!

The supplies you will need:

  • Cutting machine
  • Scoring tool
  • Cardstock of various colors
  • Christmas-themed cardstock (optional)
  • Precision glue pen
  • 3D adhesive foam
  • Sticker pearls or rhinestones
  • A Christmas stamp (optional)
  • Ink for the stamp (optional)

Printable Cuttable Creatables SVG Files used:

The first step to making these cards is we took the A2 Envelope SVG Freebie file and uploaded it to Cricut Design Space and cut out an envelope using 8.5×11 cardstock and the scoring stylus for the Cricut Maker.  This then gave us an idea of what size of the card to make.

To the outside of the envelope, we added the Single Line Christmas Holly Circle Frames SVG File and personalized the inside with the recipient’s name.  We also switched it to the drawing feature in DS instead of foiling.  You could totally add this SVG file to the inside of a card as well and use the foil tool…..the possibilities are truly endless when it comes to all of the wonderful SVG files here at Printable Cuttable Creatables

DIY Cricut Christmas Card Envelope

Next, we uploaded a square to DS and unlocked it to change it to the size that we wanted it to be.  Our rectangle measured approximately 8.25 wide by 5.5 tall.  We then added a scoring line and attached it to the middle of the card.

Once you have your envelope and card cut out, now comes the fun part of cutting out the Christmas Flower Poinsettia SVG Cut File.  We cut our poinsettias in various sizes.

We did not use the yellow center part of the poinsettia as we like things sparkly for Christmas so we added a rhinestone to the center of our poinsettias.

We also layered the flower from the leaves using 3D adhesive foams.

DIY Poinsettia Christmas Card Assembly

One thing I would like to note for this project is, I usually design on my desktop and then cut/print from my Cricut using my tablet. But take a look at these two envelopes (the recipient’s name is hidden for privacy) ….both of these are from the same file with absolutely no editing or changes done to them whatsoever.

The left envelope was cut and drawn from DS opened on my desktop, and the right is created from DS opened on my tablet.

Cricut Christmas Card Idea

So I just wanted to let you know that from desktop to tablet, there might be a slight difference.  I think going forward, from now on I’ll strictly do all my Cricut stuff from my desktop!

I hope that this was helpful to you and I hope that you enjoy getting crafty this holiday season with your little ones!

DIY Fall Wedding Card

DIY Fall Wedding Card

Hello Printable Cuttable Creatables Fans! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility. I am stopping into the blog today to share a fall wedding card I made for my daughter’s best friend. Her colors were peachy-orange and navy blue with greenery.  Here is what I came up with.

DIY Fall Wedding Card

All my cardstock is American Crafts from 12×12 Cardstock Shop. They will supply all your cardstock needs!

I used a Kraft envelope and base with a cream/light tan bottom layer. Going for a slight country feel.

DIY Floral Wedding Card

Using the Feather Wreath Monogram Frame SVG File, I started my arrangement for the front of my card.  By picking certain flowers from the SVG file Spring Flower Group, I used the wedding colors to finish the flowers off.

Fall Wedding Card Idea

To really set this apart from just a wreath card to a wedding card, I used the Mr. & Mrs. Scrapbook Title SVG and set it in the middle of the wreath.

DIY Fall Wedding Card

Every wedding card has to have bling! I finished it off with some orange and blue rhinestones from my stash, around the wreath.

The files I used from Printable Cuttable Creatables were:

I hope you enjoyed my project.  Leave me a message and let me know what you think!

Till next time!
